Toddlers are given opportunities
to learn through small and large
motor skills, music, stories,
water play, puppets, puzzles,
sorting, building blocks, dirt day,
picnics, chalk, outside art,
games, riding toys, climbing
toys and so much more.
Children love to learn, they are always eager to learn.  Even at very small ages, they remember
and use what is taught to them.  One year olds learn sign language, new words, colors, what we
do next and more.  
Most important of
all, children learn
through play,
making learning
FUN!!!!

Block Play develops social skills by learning to share and cooperate.  Children also learn to
balance blocks and line them up.  Cognitive skills children may count blocks, see patterns and
design.  They learn to build and plan structure.
Sand Play, children learn cognitive skills such as
measuring, and mapping out roads.  Social skills learned
are sharing, interaction and cooperation.  Physical
development is learned by pouring, dumping, pushing,
gathering, scooping, and packing.
In dramatic play, children play adult roles.  Develops self-image and coordinates with others.  
They learn to express self in another role.  
Activities are offered for
sensory, small and large motor
skills, cognitive and social
learning.  Some are tied into our
theme for the month on the
curriculum which gives children
hands on experiences.

We have story time, circle time,  
music and dance time.  Children
learn words, gestures and
melody, listening skills,
coordination movements,
sequencing, repetition, and
speech.  Television is limited to
mornings and afternoons,
programs include Dora, Blues
Clues, HI-5, Little Bear, Fresh
Beat Band, Diego, and
educational programs or videos.
